Terry Lee – Founder and CEO
During a successful career representing JD Edwards, Terry Lee witnessed the detrimental financial effects of packaged, monolothic software solutions that were sold to unsuspecting customers. Using these experiences as a source of inspiration, Terry founded Naia Corporation in 1997 to provide small and medium sized businesses with affordable, personalized solutions to their unique business needs. Under his stewardship, Naia has navigated difficult economic conditions by being aggressive and investing in its products and services.
“Being an entrepreneur is part of my DNA,” says Lee. “My fulfillment comes when a customer obtains a ROI from our products and services."
The former college football player has an affinity for both the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Alabama, where he earned multiple degrees in accounting and data processing. Terry is keenly interested in Goldratt's Theory of Constraints as well as the principles of lean manufacturing. He has also been a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) since the early '90s. He applies these principles within Naia as part of its on-going improvement process. He is also a 2010 graduate of Birmingham's Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP).
